Rahana Life
Our initial focus is the assessment and provision of assistive technology to support people with upper limb impairment, primarily muscle weakness.
Typically such weakness is associated with Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Cord Injury, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Motor Neurone Disease however there are no hard and fast rules and many people can benefit from such technology.

Rahana Life is dedicated to providing ethical, bespoke and integrated client centred technology solutions to support people with disabilities to improve their independence, have a better quality of life and achieve their aspirations.
Our clients are firmly at the centre of Rahana Life. We are not just selling assistive technology. We will match the best technology very carefully to user needs, through detailed and sensitive consultation. We will back up the sale of a product with excellent after sales support.
Most importantly, we will listen to our clients and make sure they have a voice with our technology suppliers so that future products meet user needs.
Simon Fielden
Co-FOUNDER
An HCPC registered Clinical Scientist with 30 years experience in the field of assistive technologies. After 20 years in the NHS where he managed a range of assistive technology services, Simon joined Coventry University as Director of the Health Design & Technology Institute, (HDTI). HTDI worked across the assistive technology sector by working with small businesses developing new products, running a range of research projects and supporting graduate and postgraduate teaching. Simon’s experience at HDTI led to a desire to set up Rahana Life as a vehicle to deliver top quality assistive technology that enhances an individual’s independence with stylish, functional and integrated technologies that are a joy to use.
Dina Shah
Co-FOUNDER
Dina has worked in the assistive technology sector since 2009, specialising in developing and commercialising user centred assistive technology to support independence. Prior to establishing Rahana Life, Dina was the Business Development Manager for the Health Design & Technology Institute (HDTI) at Coventry University. Prior to this, Dina has held a number of strategic, commercial and development posts across a range of blue chip companies.
Dina is an engineer by profession and has an MBA. Dina wanted to establish Rahana Life so that the best in breed assistive technology can be matched to a client’s needs both now and into the future.
